The DEVAC 600 Series high performance dual frame Thermo-Barrier aluminum windows have a wide airspace between interior and exterior glass panes to conserve energy and reduce outside noise penetration. The unique, non-structural DEVAC Thermo-Barrier provides the key to effective performance by meeting essential design criteria:
- Insulates interior frame and sash from costly thermal transfer and improves condensation resistance.
- Effectively seals against air and water leakage through the barrier into wall structures.
- Allows freedom of expansion and contraction while keeping structural integrity between interlocking parts.
- Interlocks aluminum frame members so that forces generated by thermal movement and structural load will utilize the barrier material for its greater compressive strength. A design principle proven by 30 years of service with no failure.
