Keep in mind, though that each glass panel is handmade and so there are minor differences from piece to piece. This is characteristic of any handmade product and adds to its charm and beauty. The patterns can vary in size and particular shapes but pose no danger of spontaneous breakage or structural instability. Precision continually inspects for consistency. Any patterns that are severely out of character with the glass are not accepted. Our goal is to provide the finest quality glass panels.

DeVAC: For New Commercial Construction or Renovation

At The Window Man we carry a number of window lines perfect for commercial new construction or renovation projects.

For example, the DEVAC 600 Series high performance dual frame Thermo-Barrier aluminum windows have a wide airspace between interior and exterior glass panes to conserve energy and reduce outside noise penetration. The unique, non-structural DEVAC Thermo-Barrier provides the key to effective performance by meeting essential design criteria:

* Insulates interior frame and sash from costly thermal transfer and improves condensation resistance.
* Effectively seals against air and water leakage through barrier into wall structures.
* Allows freedom of expansion and contraction while keeping structural integrity between interlocking parts.
* Interlocks aluminum frame members so that forces generated by thermal movement and structural load will utilize the barrier material for it's greater compressive strength. A design principle proven by 30 years of service with no failure.
* Custom sized to 1/32 of an inch. Available as double-hung, horizontal slider, removable panel and fixed panel. Historical designs and special shapes are offered.


DeVAC's exclusive dual-pane/dual-barrier design provides the highest STC (Sound Transmission Class) available in fully operating windows. STC's from 37 to 56 are obtainable in standard DeVAC window products glazed with common monolithic glass.

Devac's Thermo-Barrier™ frame and wide, trapped air space glazing system are key elements to the 600 Series' outstanding acoustic performance...performance not obtainable with laminated or sealed insulating glass.

Sound transmission loss tests consistently show the DeVAC Acoustic Window system provides better STC ratings than the same thicknesses in other systems.
